Göteborg Film Festival is the largest film festival in the Nordic countries. Each year the festival’s program group travels around the world to track down choice films to bring back to Göteborg.
Göteborg Film Festival is the obvious launching platform for films from all over the world, an introduction to the Scandinavian market.
Journalists, distributors and the public get a comprehensive view of different national cinematographies through sections like Iranian Images, French Connection, Korean Highlights, Made in Spanish, Asian Hots and German Stories.
All international films are screened after invitation by our selection committee and have their Swedish premieres in Göteborg. All films screened at the festival must be invited by the selection committee.
